14 of November 2009, the day I was waiting for finally arrived.On reaching the school, I did some final discussions with my team mates namely “Jhashank Gupta” and “K.S Roshan Menon”.
Unlike Jack Kilby, we reached the venue early, I guess this might be beacuse this time “Prateek Bhaiya” was also with us. The quiz management was awesome and also very helpful. The first event was the Senior Quiz Prelims We were not talking part in the Senior Quiz, so we got some more quality time to prepare for our quiz. After the Senior Quiz Prelims, the Junior Quiz prelims began.
Unfortunately,our most experienced teammate “Jhashank Gupta” had to go as he was also talking part in the GD and our team was only left with the two of us who were just the beginners in tech- quizzing. We tried our best and did the maximum which we could have done. Surprisingly we ended up the prelims with a score which was according to us somewhere near 16. But then came to no, when discussed it from our fellow quizzers that we have just ended up with a score of 12. We still had a chance to qualify, and were hoping for some luck on the children’s day.Then the refreshments were served, which was the best part :) of the day.
Unfortunately, we didn’t qualified for the next round.Frankly speaking, this was my 4th quiz and this was the first time I felt that we had a chance to qualify. But we are happy that two teams from our school qualified for the next round in both the Junior and the Senior Quiz.
Altogether,This was the best quizzing experience for me till date, hope we do better the next time.
